Chick Flick Of The Day, and also, Losing My Mojo.

I saw He's just not that into you last night. I really loved it. The audience was 95% teen girls. I found this encouraging. Such a cultural staple being introduced to that generation can only do good things. They clapped and cheered when the title appeared. They shouted obnoxiously at the screen which actually irritated me, and I was grateful that there would surely be someone in the theater brave and mean enough to yell "shut up," which there was. But I was glad to see such enthusiasm from girls who were indoctrinated and [hopefully] reformed from being pathetic with guys. There were storylines (particularly one) that completely captured my divorce and how I handled it (like hurrying to clean up a mess you made in a fit, before continuing the fit), and also one part at the end, that says something like, maybe your happy ending doesn't include someone else.

What permission to give yourself.

I liked the storyline with Affleck/Aniston (shreik! yay! I know, I missed her too!). Now you have to go see it so you  know why. I actually choked up at one part with them. I also never have seen Ben Affleck as cute, until this movie. So there's that.

Also, a coworker told me that my OLD blog was featured on Blogs Of Note in January.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure whether to be irate or elated. I saw a spike in Mid-January on my statcounter. I always wanted to be on blogs of note, and for four years, never did (that I know of). Why not THIS blog? It sortof makes me worry that the old one was better (and it probably was). It just had a broader range of stories. Right now, I don't have the porch-swing tempo I used to, which made for lots of random weird things to discuss (like, whether or not my prom dress is cute ten years later, or why I shouldn't be allowed in the Mormon temples).

Yeah, the old one was better.

I think that this blog is better, your old one rocked as well, but I love how honest you are & it really shines through. Obviously I don't know your whole situation, but I love how you are able to go through a really rough patch in life & be totally honest about it without throwing "Starter Husband" under the bus. And also I love that you still have a positive outlook on life, I would probably still be wallowing (sp?) my sarrows in a threesome with Ben & Jerry! So yeah, as I've said before I LOVE your blog. And I think that you should be doing a happy dance that your last blog was listed as a blog of note. There, that just proves how well written & interesting your blogs are. Now let me pry my lips off of your ars for a moment... I can't wait to see H.J.N.T.I.Y! I love Jennifer Aniston. I am glad that you gave it a thumbs up!

this new blog is new, so i would imagine it will just take time to get noticed. if you hadn't told me yourself that you had started a new blog i would still be thinking, "what happened to the little red pen?!" anyway, you would have had a shift in tone regardless, so i think that it was a decisive and smart fresh start.

I have been making my way through "The Little Red Pen" and LOVE it!
I want that movie too, it had a techie sort of appeal to me in the previews, or maybe it was just the E.T. girl (name escapes me) and the way she says "technologies" that got me going. She is my age you know! Drew Barrymore - there it is.

You've arrived! You just moved on before the band started playing. They'll catch up.

I added this movie to my list of stuff that I am reminded about everyday but never seem to get around to. Wasn't there some line from a gay guy about FaceBook being the new booty-call? Oh dear! What exactly is a booty-call anyhow? Interesting insight concerning the indoctrination of girls being lame with guys. I am still trying to wrap my head around it but I am pretty sure that I agree with you - I am just now entering into a place where i am allowed perspective though.
